지난 10월 나는 역삼동 언주로에 위치한 6개층 근린생활시설을 방문하였다. 이 건물은 인테리어 쇼룸으로 구성이 되어 있으며 지하층은 내외장재 타일로 그리고 1층은 이러한 포세린타일로 주방 및 거실로 구성된다.
2019년에 건물이 완성되고 지난 2년동안 한의병원과 제조시설로 사용되다가 2022년 고급주거 인테리어 쇼룸으로 디자인 설계되었다. 1층 로비로 들어가니 정면으로 에르메스색상(실제는 밝은 주황색)의 왼쪽 입구부터 주방 시작점까지 연결되어 있는 아트월과 맞이하게 된다.
이 아트월은 자칫 사각형 박스의 내부공간을 좀더 유기적이고 부드럽게 표현하려고 제안되었다. 주방색상은 연베이지색으로 구성되어 있고, 강한 체리우드 색상의 아일랜드는 무게감을 더해준다. 왼쪽입구에서 시작되는 밝은 주황색상의 메탈 아트월은 주방을 역동적이면서 밝게 만들어준다.
아이보리 색상의 fabric 소파와 중간 중간 green plant는 천연석 바닥과 차가운 성질의 금속재료로 마감된 밝은 주황색 벽면과 어울리면서 따뜻함과 온화함을 느끼게 해준다.
정면에서 바라볼 때 왼쪽에 주황색 벽면과 정면에서 보이는 거대한 아일랜드 그리고 고급스러운 흰색상의 후드 그리고 그 뒤로 콘크리판으로 만든 주방붙박이장 그리고 오른쪽 스페셜페인트로 굵은 재질감을 입힌 자연석 느낌의 오른쪽 벽면이 이루어내는 공간은 시작과 끝이 완벽한 느낌으로 여겨진다.
주방에서의 파격적인 색감 그리고 텍스쳐는 주방에서 오랜 시간 동안 거주하는 주부에게 생동감을 가져올수 있다고 하겠다. 전체 아일랜드 주방은 빅슬라브 포쉐린타일로 마감되었으며, 간단한 식사가 가능하게 wood색상의 금속 판넬이 바쁜 가족들의 식사를 제공하는 공간이 된다.
콘크리트 판넬로 만들어진 길게 뻗은 주방장은 포켓방식으로 열고 닫음을 가능하게 하였고, 공간 구석 구석 주부들의 아쉬운 공간 활용도를 최대로 반영한 디자인으로 계획되었다. 두대의 냉장고 사이에 위치한 와인셀러는 긴 주방중에서 포인트가 될 수 있음을 보여준다.
계단을 따라서 주방에 내려오게 되면 주거인테리어에서 사용되는 내장 타일과 외부 타일을 샘플로 볼 수 있는 전시장에 도달하게 된다. 천정에서 두개의 밝은 사각형 광천정 아래로 타일샘플을 검수할 수 있는 테이블과 의자가 존재한다. 인테리어에서 사용되는 실제 자재를 클라이언트가 직접 보고 선택할 수 있는 공간을 만듦으로써 디자인과 시공의 차이를 줄이게 된다.
본 인턴기자는 이번호에는 고급주택설계를 위한 인테리어 쇼룸 중 지하 1층과 1층부분을 설명하였다. 다음 호에는 본격적으로 주거공간인 LDK공간 (Living, Dining, Kitchen)을 중심으로 한 2층과 textile전시장인 3층에 대해서 설명할 예정이다.
Last October, I visited a six-floor neighborhood living facility located on Eonju-ro, Yeoksam-dong. This building consists of an indoor showroom, and the basement floor is made of interior and exterior tiles. The first floor of this building is composed of a kitchen and living room with porcelain tiles.
The building was completed in 2019 and used as an oriental medicine hospital and manufacturing facility for the past two years. It was designed as a high-end residential interior showroom in 2022. When you approach the lobby on the first floor, you will be greeted with an art wall that connects from the entrance on the left in Hermès color (bright orange) to the starting point of the kitchen.
The art wall was proposed as a more organic and delicate way of expressing the inside space of a rectangular box. The color of the kitchen is light beige, and the island of strong cherry wood color adds weight. The bright orange-colored metal art wall starting from the left entrance makes the kitchen dynamic and bright.
The ivory-colored fabric sofa and the green plant in the middle creates a sense of warmth while matching with the bright orange walls finished with the natural stone floor and cold metal materials.
When viewed from the front, the beginning and end of the space formed by the orange wall on the left, the huge island visible from the front, the luxurious white hood, the built-in kitchen cabinet made of concrete behind it, and the natural stone-like wall on the right with a thick texture with special paint on the right feel perfect.
Unconventional colors and textures in the kitchen can bring liveliness to housewives who spend a lot of time in the kitchen. The entire island kitchen is finished with big slab porcelain tiles, and wood-colored metal panels provides a space for busy families to enjoy simple meals.
The long kitchen cabinet constructed of concrete panels enables opening and closing in a pocket style and it was designed to maximize the space utilization of housewives in every corner of the area. A wine cellar located between two refrigerators shows how it can serve as a focal point in a long kitchen.
If you go down the stairs to the kitchen, you will reach the exhibition hall where you can see samples of interior and exterior tiles used in residential interiors. Under the two bright rectangular lights on ceiling, there is a table and chairs for examining tile samples. By creating a space where clients can directly see and select the actual materials used in the interior, the gap between design and construction is reduced.
In this issue, I explained the first basement floor and the first-floor part of the interior showroom for luxury housing. In the next issue, I will explain the 2nd floor centered on the LDK space (Living, Dining, Kitchen), which is a residential space, and the 3rd floor, which is a textile exhibition hall.
